You are invited to our final Kohetry event of the year! Kohetry Presents: ✨REINDIGENISE HEALING PT II✨ ✨Saturday 30th November ✨6-10pm ✨Location @the____gap ✨🎫£10 each (children under 15 free with a paying adult ticket) ✨ Vegan Plant Based Meal included (@whoiskoh famous dhaal chaaval 🤗🧑🏽‍🍳 🌱) We are celebrating two years of Kohetry, nine events, over twenty headliners, and countless poets and artists gracing our stage. From exhibitions to pop-up shops & collabs, supporting & promoting local catering businesses, mentoring young people & supporting them in their creative endeavors. Creating a beautifully sacred safe space for vital conversations on an array of topics that affect & impact our everyday lives from Return to the Womb to Return to the Menbrain across Birmingham, the West Midlands & beyond. Change happens when we intentionally plant seeds of progress to nurture grassroots movements to help our communities heal & thrive. Whilst we celebrate all we have experienced & accomplished together as a community, it would not feel right if we didn't take the time & make space to honour the grief we have also experienced over the past 2 years from losses of loved ones in our personal lives, in the poetry community & witnessing the loss of sacred life enmasse across the global south. Radical Joy, Radical Love & Radical healing to honour that grief. We hope to see you there! More info will be shared over the next few weeks. See you on Saturday 30th! Kohetry Festival (Est 2021) Event Organiser

Kohetry Festival was founded in May 2021 and took place over a 4-day bank holiday period to bring poets across the nation together to celebrate their love of poetry, music & good food. There were open mics & ciphers & rap battles. We live & breathe poetry! But more importantly, COMMUNITY. Following the success of that event, we are bringing you The Kohetry Winter Solstice Festival 2022, an end of year event to celebrate the past year of Poetry, community & networking. A safe space of inclusivity to unite, celebrate and nurture the growth of creatives & the wider community no matter what walk of life you come from. Let's walk together & share some poetry along the way. Ethics & Ethos (Mission Statement): A safe space to nurture community, growth & to network. A space of acceptance, where you are seen, heard & valued. Where we lead with love, kindness & compassion. A space free from exploitation & judgment. No hate speech, no vulgar or graphic content. No antisocial behaviour or drug usage. A family friendly environment (Parents/Guardians are advised to use their own discretion when bringing along any children under the age of 10 as there may be sensitive topics shared.)
